KD The Devil Opening Day Box Office: Dhruva Sarja and Sanjay Dutt starrer Kannada film grosses Rs 4 crore on Day 1

The latest Kannada film, KD: The Devil, recorded an underwhelming start at the box office. The movie, starring Dhruva Sarja in the lead role, along with Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Nora Fatehi, Jissu Sengupta, and others, opened with Rs. 4 crore at the Karnataka box office. That’s a low opening considering the budget and scale of the film.  KD: The Devil met with a majorly poor reception among the audience, which should be concerning for the makers. Had the movie recorded a positive word-of-mouth, it would have seen a much better start. The action drama, directed by Prem, needs to show strong growth over the weekend and then a good hold on the weekdays, in order to reach a respectable total. So far, the movie is heading towards a disappointing end, but let’s wait for Monday hold, for any conclusion. Dhruva Sarja was previously seen in Martin, which met with disastrous box office result at the box office.  Apart from the leading cast, Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeepa also made a guest …

From “Strong Comeback For Dhruva Sarja” To “No Story”—Film Gets Mixed To Positive Response

KD: The Devil X Review ( Photo Credit – Instagram ) Kannada film KD: The Devil was envisaged as a pan-Indian venture, but the KGF lookalike action drama, written and directed by Prem and starring Dhruva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Reeshma Nanaiah, Ramesh Aravind and others, has only managed to release in its original language, Kannada, due to issues related to CBFC certification. This means the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi dubbed versions are not yet out, and they are likely to release next week in theaters. In the meantime, let’s take a look at what the audience is saying about the film on X.com. KD: The Devil works mainly because of Dhruva Sarja. Biggest Kannada Opening Of 2026 Despite Earning Only 34% Of Dhruva Sarja’s Last Opening!

The Devil: Release Date, Cast Details, Plot (Photo Credit: Instagram) Dhruva Sarja’s KD: The Devil has managed to bring the biggest Kannada opening of 2026, but the numbers are far from enough to ignite the box office! The period drama had a good hype before its release; however, the ground reality does not paint a good picture! On one hand, the film has comfortably snatched the title of the biggest Kannada opener of 2026; on the other, it has failed to even come close to the benchmarks set by Sarja himself in the past. Dhruva Sarja’s Last Opening 2026 has been a sluggish year for the Kannada film industry, with several releases struggling to even cross the 1-crore mark on opening day. In this drought, Dhruva Sarja is acting as the temporary savior at the box office. His last release was Martin in 2024, which opened with a net collection of 6.3 crore in India. KD: The Devil Box Office Day 1 Estimates According to early trends, KD: The Devil has collected 1.71 crore until 8 …
