Hours after US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said American defence forces have not spared anything “no expense or capability” to protect their citizens and allies in the Middle East, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt assured total control over Tehran skies. While lauding US President Donald Trump, Leavitt said unlike his predecessors the Republican leader does not bluff. The US officials have time and again slammed former US President Barack Obama for his peace negotiations with Iran. Here are top five things Leavitt said during the press briefing: ‘Complete and total dominance over Iranian airspace’ “We expect to have complete and total dominance over Iranian airspace in the coming hours, clearing the skies for our brave warriors to continue achieving these noble and long sought after objectives,” she said. Guardiola expects short absence for injured Haaland| Football News

Guardiola expects short absence for injured Haaland| Football News

Pep Guardiola is confident Erling Haaland’s injury will not be a “big issue” after the Manchester City striker missed his side’s vital 1-0 win against Leeds on Saturday. Haaland was a surprise absence from the City line-up at Elland Road following the minor knock he suffered in training on Thursday. City coped without Haaland as Antoine Semenyo’s first half goal sealed their fourth successive Premier League victory. Guardiola’s men are just two points behind leaders Arsenal, who host Chelsea on Sunday, as the title race heats up. Losing the prolific Haaland for a prolonged period would be a hammer blow for City, but Guardiola does not believe the Norway star will be out for long. “We don’t have spies in the training centre to deliver the info to our media. I think it is not a big issue. We will see,” he said. Asked when Haaland will be back, Guardiola added: “I don’t know. I wish he comes back.” City have a better winning ratio in the league without Haaland than with him, but even …

(Instagram) Anu Malik on Ghar Kab Aaoge In an interview with PTI, Anu Malik spoke about Ghar Kab Aaoge, “I believe the song is recreated. I’m not a part of it. I’m sure they will give my name to it as I’ve created the song. They should because people know about our contribution, they can’t get away. They can’t make Border 2 without Sandese Aate Hai… Both Anu Malik and Javed Akhtar are up there (in their contribution), so they will have to put our name somewhere.” …

MGL expects restoration of gas supply by November 18

The disruption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) supply on Monday (November 17, 2025) affected vehicles across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) after damage to GAIL’s main gas pipeline. Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) expects restoration of gas supply by November 18. The damage to the main gas supply pipeline of GAIL occurred at the RCF premises, Trombay, and also affected the gas supply at MGL’s City Gate Station (CGS) at Wadala since Sunday (November 16, 2025), MGL said. According to MGL, out of the total 389 CNG stations, 225 CNG stations are operating, and the rest are facing a shortage. “MGL is ensuring supply to its domestic (Piped Natural Gas) consumers on priority without interruption. However, due to the stoppage of gas supply in CGS Wadala and thereby the MGL pipeline network, a few CNG stations in Mumbai, Thane & Navi Mumbai are not operational,” MGL added. In the statement, MGL highlighted that the gas supplies across the network will normalise once the damage is rectified and supply is restored to CGS Wadala. “The rectification work is in …

Nintendo Expects Switch 2 to Sell 15 Million Units, Profit Rising 13 Percent This Year

Nintendo Expects Switch 2 to Sell 15 Million Units, Profit Rising 13 Percent This Year

Nintendo on Thursday said it expects to sell 15 million Switch 2 units and for operating profit to rise 13 percent to JPY 320 billion  ($2.22 billion or roughly Rs. 18,955 crore) in the year ending March. Nintendo is preparing for the Switch 2’s June 5 launch, which will test its ability to manage supply chains to minimise disruption from US President Donald Trump’s trade war. The gaming device is the successor to the Switch, which has sold more than 150 million units since its 2017 launch and transformed Nintendo’s fortunes after the Wii U flopped. “Nintendo clearly wants to play it safe and chose what is a cautious but probably reasonable forecast,” said Serkan Toto, founder of the Kantan Games consultancy. The company is known for its conservative forecasts. Toto sees Switch 2 sales at closer to 20 million units. Nintendo paused the start of US pre-orders as it considered the impact of increasing US tariffs. It later said it would maintain pricing at $449.99 (roughly Rs. 42,692).  “If additional tariffs are imposed in …

Nintendo expects the Switch 2 to be just as successful as the original

Nintendo expects the Switch 2 to be just as successful as the original

Nintendo has forecast global sales of 15 million Switch 2 consoles by the end of March 2026, which would be roughly comparable to the original Switch’s first year on sale, despite retailing for a much higher price. The company suffered an expected slump in both hardware and software sales this year, according to its latest earnings release, and will be hoping for a bumper year ahead. The Switch 2 launches on June 5th, so will have 10 months on sale to hit that forecast, with Nintendo also expecting to sell 45 million Switch 2 games in the same period. It’s not written its older console off though, and is expecting to shift another 4.5 million Switch consoles and over 100 million games in the year ahead, down from 10.8 million and 155 million of each last year. The first Switch launched in March 2017, at the tail end of a fiscal year, so direct sales comparisons are tricky. It sold 17.79 million units worldwide in its first 13 months on sale — comfortably more than …

SBI expects slower loan growth of 12-13% in FY26 amid tariff-related risks | Business News

The country’s largest bank State Bank of India (SBI) has revised its loan growth target for the current financial year (FY2026) downward to 12-13 per cent from an earlier projection of 14-16 per cent, amid tariff related uncertainties, its Chairman C S Setty said on Saturday. In the quarter ended March 2025, the bank profit after tax (PAT) declined by 10 per cent to Rs 18,643 crore. “Our earlier (loan growth) guidance was 14-16 percent and we are moderating that to 12-13 percent (for FY26). The system level credit growth probably would be 10-11 percent,” Setty told reporters after announcing the quarterly results. Story continues below this ad Last month, US President Donald Trump had announced sweeping reciprocal tariffs on America’s major trading partners. The announcement, which sent ripples through financial markets across the globe, including in India, has increased the risk of global growth slowdown and an escalation of trade wars. Setty said that the Indian economy is less impacted by the tariffs as it is primarily a domestic consumption driven economy and its …

Panic in Pakistan; airspace restricted as country expects Indian strike

Panic in Pakistan; airspace restricted as country expects Indian strike

Amid the ongoing stand-off between India and Pakistan over the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistani military, it seems, has started preparing for Indian military action. Sources in the country`s military establishment said on Wednesday that Pakistani Navy vessels, including its frigates and submarines, have already positioned themselves in their respective harbours in the sea to be able to tackle any possible Indian movement. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Air Force has reduced flying operations by over 50 per cent, and only essential operations are being conducted to avoid confusion in the airspace, sources said. Earlier, faced with mounting global pressure, a jittery Pakistan leadership resorted to accusations against India following the deadly Pahalgam incident that killed 26 people. The Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, had issued a statement claiming that Pakistan has “credible intelligence” suggesting India plans to launch military action against the nation within the next 24-36 hours. In a post on X, Tarar wrote, “Pakistan has credible intelligence that India intends to carry out military action against Pakistan …
