Akasa Air Passenger Complains Of Expired Food Packets, Airline Responds

“We are in touch with the passenger concerned,” Akasa Air said (Representational) New Delhi: An Akasa Air passenger has complained that the airline allegedly served expired food packets to passengers onboard a Gorakhpur-Bengaluru flight on Saturday, following which the airline said it is undertaking a detailed probe into the incident. After the passenger took to social media to air the grievance, the airline admitted that a few passengers were “inadvertently served refreshments that did not meet our quality standards” and expressed regret over the incident. In a statement on Sunday, the airline said it is aware of and fully acknowledges the concern raised by a passenger, who was on flight QP 1883 from Gorakhpur to Bengaluru, regarding pre-packaged refreshments served. “Upon preliminary investigation, it was found that a few passengers were inadvertently served refreshments that did not meet our quality standards. “We are in touch with the passenger concerned and are undertaking a detailed investigation with a view to ensuring that such incidents do not occur in the future,” the airline said, regretting the inconvenience …

Bajrang Punia accuses NADA of supplying expired kits for sample tests

Star wrestler Bajrang Punia accused the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) of providing him with expired kits for his sample tests. Reports emerged on Sunday that the Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist has been provisionally suspended by the NADA for failing to submit his urine sample during the selection trials at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) centre in Sonipat on March 10. Unless the suspension is annulled, the 65kg weight category wrestler Bajrang, who is looking forward to sealing his Paris Olympics berth, will not be allowed to compete at the selection trials scheduled for June. So far, no India could win a 2024 Paris Olympics quota place in the 65kg weight category. At the trials in Sonipat, Bajrang suffered a loss to Rohit 9-3 in the semifinal. “Expired Passport Issue” Leaves Pakistan Team Without Doctor In Australia

Visa and passport issues have left the national senior cricket team in Australia without a doctor and the under-19 side in the UAE without a team manager. Sohail Saleem, who was named as the official team doctor for the series in Australia and New Zealand, is yet to join the team. “The Pakistan Cricket Board is still trying to get a visa for Dr Saleem and as soon as it comes he will join the side in Australia in time for the first Test in Perth,” a reliable source in the PCB said.
