Twinkle Khanna confronted mom Dimple Kapadia for forcing her into acting, veteran actor had the last word: ‘You would have become obsolete now’ | Bollywood News

Actor-turned-author Twinkle Khanna may have started her public career in the world of Hindi cinema, but she has carved a far more lasting legacy with her pen. The author of bestselling books like Mrs Funnybones, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, Pyjamas Are Forgiving, and most recently Welcome to Paradise, Khanna has established herself as a witty and insightful commentator on modern Indian life. Though she dabbled in acting with a string of popular films in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Twinkle now appears firmly content in her role as a writer. In a recent candid conversation with Divya Jain, she opened up about how her entry into Bollywood was not entirely by choice but rather, the result of familial expectations. “Like many people here, I’m sure, whatever their parents did… if they had a mithai shop, you became a mithaiwala. It was as simple as that. My parents were very keen, my mother was very keen. I had applied for my CA entrance exam, because that’s what I wanted to do, strangely. And my …

This matter pertains to the area under Jaitpur police station in the South East District. “It is high time that such litigants such as the father of the complainant, who misuse the provision of law to their own personal advantage, should be dealt with strictly and strict action is warranted against them,” the court said. Opposition’s political majboori forcing them to oppose Waqf bill: Ravi Shankar Prasad’s retort in LS

The country is changing and the Congress is watching. Where they were and how many seats they are left with now in Lok Sabha, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said. Citing articles from the Constitution, senior BJP leader and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday issued a point-by-point rebuttal to the Opposition and the critics of the Waqf Bill, shutting down the claims that it is “unconstitutional” while advocating it is meant for the upliftment of backward Muslim women and the community.  Speaking in the Lok Sabha during the debate after the tabling of the bill, he lambasted the Congress-led Opposition over their repeated objection to the bill, wondering if they are pulled back due to their “political majboori” from supporting the welfare of Muslims in the country. Here are Ravi Shankar Prasad’s top quotes: There’s a trend of bringing a red copy of the Constitution but I’ve got here the “green Constitution” kept in the Parliament. Article 14 states that the government can bring in laws for the welfare of women, then how is …

Pawan Kalyan on Hindi imposition: ‘Neither forcing nor opposing a language helps national unity’

Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan clarified his stance on Hindi, stating that neither imposing nor opposing a language contributes to national integration. He dismissed claims of mandatory Hindi under NEP 2020 and supported a multilingual approach for cultural unity. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday asserted that neither forcibly imposing a language nor blindly opposing one contributes to national and cultural integration. The Janasena Party chief clarified that he has never been against Hindi as a language, but only opposed its compulsory imposition. “Either imposing a language forcibly or opposing it blindly—both don’t help achieve the objective of national and cultural integration in our Bharat,” Kalyan wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Refutes claims of Hindi imposition under NEP 2020 Kalyan pointed out that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 does not mandate Hindi, and any claims suggesting otherwise are misleading the public. “Spreading false narratives about the imposition of Hindi is merely an attempt to mislead people,” he stated. Under the NEP 2020, students are allowed to learn …

Michael Jackson Biopic Faces Legal Challenge, Forcing Reshoots as Past Agreement With Accuser Surfaces

Trigger Warning: This article contains mention of sexual abuse. Michael, an upcoming biopic about the life of Michael Jackson played by Jaafar Jackson, is seeing substantial delays following the discovery of a legal issue associated with an earlier settlement to one of the Bad singer’s molestation accusers. The film, previously scheduled for an April 2025 release, has been pushed to October of next year as producers work on the issue. According to a report from Puck on January 23, 2025, filmmakers are rewriting parts of the script and doing reshoots as they scramble to rework the film. The report suggests that due to the King of Pop’s estate overlooking a key contract in settlement with a molestation accuser, almost the entire third act of the film is now unusable. The film reshoots because Jackson had settled with Jordan Chandler’s family in 1993, which included a legal clause banning any reference or dramatization of the case. Jordan Chandler, 13 at the time, had accused the Thriller singer of sexual abuse. The out-of-court settlement reportedly totaled 25 …
