Devaraj Urs, a towering OBC leader, was known for his land reforms and bringing out many young leaders among the Backward Classes.. Around 25 premises in Chennai, Madurai and Tiruchirappalli are being searched by the ED officials along with an escort of central paramilitary forces, under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), officials said.
