The West Bengal Police on Friday arrested a total of 35 people, including the alleged mastermind of the gherao of seven judicial officers in Malda district, a senior officer said. The accused, identified as advocate Mofakkarul Islam, was arrested while he was trying to board a flight from Siliguri’s Bagdogra airport, he said.  Meanwhile,  a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) visited in Malda to probe into the gherao incident over the deletion of names in the SIR exercise.
