CISF recovers cash and jewellery left behind by passenger at Ahmedabad airport

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at Ahmedabad Airport recovered and returned a passenger’s unattended trolley bag containing Rs 2.97 lakh in cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees, officials said on Tuesday. The baggage was found at the domestic arrivals area of Terminal 1 in the early hours of August 18. According to the CISF, the passenger had travelled from Delhi to Ahmedabad on IndiGo flight 6E-2013. After collecting her checked-in baggage from Belt No. 3, she accidentally left her grey trolley bag near the domestic arrival exit at around 12.03 am, officials said. The CISF personnel spotted the unattended bag during routine surveillance and immediately secured it. The matter was also reported to the Security Operations Control Centre (SOCC) for verification. Bomb Disposal Squad checks baggage The CISF Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) conducted a detailed security check of the unattended trolley bag, the officials said. PM Modi reached Gujarat early this morning and performed the last rites. She was 100. Her last rites were performed at Muktidham crematorium in Sector 30 of Gandhinagar. Family members of Hiraben thanked everyone for their prayers and requested people to continue with their scheduled work, saying it would be a befitting tribute to her. “We thank everyone for their prayers in these tough times. It is our humble request to everyone to keep the departed soul in their thoughts and continue with their pre decided schedule and commitments.
