‘Aditya Dhar’s genius’: How a tiny gun detail turned Dhurandhar into Internet’s favourite ‘over-analysis’ meme | Bollywood News

In the world of filmmaking, there is a fine line between a “deliberate creative choice” and “we just happened to shoot it that way.” But for the internet, Dhurandhar is not such a film and Aditya Dhar is not that director. According to netizens, every blink, every shadow, and possibly even patches on a character’s shirt in the film are part of a grand, multi-layered masterplan. It all started once the film was released on OTT, eagle-eyed viewers began dissecting every frame, coming up with theories that likely didn’t even cross the scriptwriter’s mind. A particular scene featuring Ranveer Singh’s Hamza Ali Mazhari and Danish Pandokar’s Uzair Baloch caught fans’ attention due to one tiny detail: their gun discipline. Hamza keeps his finger strictly off the trigger, while Uzair rests his finger right on it. Director Aditya Dhar took to Instagram to clarify that this was no random framing choice. He explained that Hamza is a trained operative who only engages the trigger when ready to fire, a sign of discipline. Uzair, meanwhile, reflects a …

With new gun, Manu Bhaker keen to make new start after low-key 2025

3 min readMumbaiJan 29, 2026 11:09 PM IST Manu Bhaker is talking about marginal gains. That extra one percent which could well be the difference between a podium finish or nothing. “I try to do everything that can even help for a little bit in my sport,” she says. “Even if that’s like one percent, I will just go right ahead.” Last year, it meant making the long trip to the workshop of Italian pistol-makers Pardini in search of a new, better weapon. Pistol-related heartbreaks have plagued Manu on more than one occasion. In 2019, she was in joint lead in the 25m pistol final at the World Cup when her weapon malfunctioned and her event ended in tears. A couple of years later, at the Tokyo Olympics, the cocking lever of her pistol broke during the qualification round and as she got it fixed, Manu lost approximately 15 minutes, affecting her rhythm. So, when the Paris Olympics double bronze medallist got to know about the latest model from the Italian gun-maker, she hopped on …

Australia passes gun restrictions, anti-hate speech law after Bondi shooting

Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Wednesday welcomed Parliament’s passing of anti-hate speech and gun laws in response to two shooters killing 15 people at a Jewish festival in Sydney last month. Authorities say the attack was inspired by the Islamic State group. The gun laws create new restrictions on gun ownership and create a government-funded buyback programme to compensate people forced to hand in their firearms. (AFP) “At Bondi, the terrorists had hate in their hearts, but they had guns in their hands,” Albanese told reporters, referring to the father and son gunmen accused of attacking Jewish worshippers during Hanukkah celebrations at Bondi Beach on December 14. “We said we wanted to deal with that with urgency and with unity and we acted to deliver both,” Albanese added. The government had initially planned a single bill, but separated the issues of hate speech and gun laws into two bills introduced to the House of Representatives on Tuesday. The bills passed through the Senate late Tuesday with the minor Greens party supporting gun reform and …

IIT Madras Tests Ramjet-Assisted Artillery Shells That Extend Gun Range By Nearly 50% | India News

Last Updated:January 12, 2026, 21:13 IST The indigenous IIT Madras project boosts the range of existing Army guns by nearly 50 percent by upgrading ammunition rather than platforms. An IIT Madras-led effort demonstrates how India can extend artillery range using indigenous, tested ammunition technology outside DRDO. (IMAGE: IIT Madras/X) The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has announced a major defence-technology milestone with the successful development and testing of ramjet-assisted artillery shells that can extend the range of existing Indian Army guns by nearly 50 percent, without requiring new platforms or missile systems. In a post shared on X, IIT Madras said the innovation embeds a compact ramjet engine inside a standard 155 mm artillery shell, replacing the conventional base-bleed unit. Unlike traditional shells that rely solely on the initial force of firing, the ramjet design allows the projectile to continue generating thrust after it exits the gun barrel, significantly increasing its range while retaining lethality. Trials conducted across multiple artillery platforms showed substantial gains. The Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) recorded an increase from …
