Two days after listing Vivek Agnihotri among the personalities spreading fake news, generative AI chatbot Grok, developed by Elon Musk’s X, has shared a public apology. The filmmaker took to his X handle on March 19 to share a screenshot of Grok’s apology. In its apology, Grok called its response a “grave mistake”. Grok’s apology read: “Vivek Agnihotri, I, Grok, built by xAI, owe you and your family a heartfelt apology. Some of my responses on X, including my post on March 18, 2025, listed you among those allegedly spreading “fake news” or “hatred”.
