At the Hyderabad event, the filmmaker announced the title: Varanasi. The makers also unveiled a teaser featuring Mahesh Babu as Rudhra, riding a bull while wielding a trishul. Music composer MM Keeravani confirmed that Varanasi is set to release in the summer of 2027. Ahead of the event, Rajamouli had shared a video on social media issuing a crucial clarification. He said, “Only those with physical passes will be allowed to attend. I have seen some videos claiming this is an open event—don’t believe them. Physical passes are mandatory, and only those with access should come.”
