Railways ‘CHIRAG’ – Centre for HR Excellence inaugurated at Moula-Ali

The Centre for HR Information Systems, Research and Analytics in Governance (CHIRAG), a Centre of Excellence focused on human resource management training, research, and digital transformation in Indian Railways, was inaugurated on Monday at the SCR Grounds, adjacent to the Zonal Railway Training Institute (ZRTI) in Moula-Ali by Additional Member (HR) V.G. Bhooma, in the presence of senior railway officials. CHIRAG aims to play a pivotal role in enhancing HR capabilities across Indian Railways. It will offer role-based, certified Human Resource Management System (HRMS) training for employees across all cadres and develop a dedicated HRMS–MITRA master trainer cadre for deployment at ZRTI. In addition, the centre will function as a think tank for HR policy formulation and inter-system integration. It is also set to incorporate advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and predictive analytics to strengthen HR decision-making processes. The facility will house state-of-the-art computer laboratories and an iGOT recording studio to support nationwide dissemination of training programmes. Venkaiah Chowdary on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) evening inspected the development work at the Sri Venkateswara (SV) Museum in Tirumala and reviewed its progress with officials. The revamped museum is being developed over 1.20 lakh sq. ft. and will have 14 interactive galleries. The galleries, being developed with the technical support of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), will showcase the historical, architectural and cultural significance of the Tirumala temple, Mr. Chowdary said. CISF barrack complex inaugurated at PM Museum in Delhi to boost readiness

A newly constructed barrack complex for personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was inaugurated at the Prime Ministers’ Museum & Library (PMM&L) on Tuesday, marking a significant step towards enhancing both operational readiness and personnel welfare. The facility was inaugurated by CISF Director General Praveer Ranjan in the presence of PMM&L Chairman Nripendra Mishra and Director Ashwani Lohani. Senior officials, including IG (NCR Sector) S. K. Mallick and DIG (CGBS) G. Sivakumar, along with other dignitaries, were also present on the occasion. Modern Infrastructure to Improve Living Conditions The newly developed complex features air-conditioned accommodation for 55 personnel, a well-equipped mess with adequate dining capacity, and an integrated armoury. The upgraded infrastructure is expected to significantly enhance operational efficiency while ensuring improved living standards for CISF personnel deployed at the site. RAO Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon inaugurate the Rayanapadu railway station, which has been refurbished under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The Indian Railways has redeveloped the station at a cost of ₹19.90 crore in the first phase of the scheme, said Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM Infrastructure) P.E. Edwin. “Waiting halls, vast circulating area, reservation and booking counters, separate facilities for divyangjan passengers, modular toilets, drinking water and other facilities have been provided at the Rayanapadu station,” Mr. Edwin said after inspecting the first phase works, along with divisional engineer (East) Mayank Upadhyay. Keys to houses were handed over to 178 families. Five-year-old Naisa, who lost her father and two siblings in the landslides, was one of the beneficiaries who received the keys from the Chief Minister.
