MP Sribharat inaugurates ₹40-lakh infrastructure works at ZP High School
Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat on Monday inaugurated infrastructure works worth ₹40 lakh at the Zilla Parishad High School in Sunil Sharma Colony, Chinnagadili, executed under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS). The works include three additional classrooms, a multipurpose hall, safety grill works, ground levelling, an RO drinking water plant shed, ceiling fans, LED lighting and other amenities aimed at providing a safer and more conducive learning environment. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sribharat said investment in educational infrastructure was an investment in the nation’s future and that MPLADS funds should be utilised to create durable assets with long-term social benefits. He said education, healthcare, sports infrastructure and libraries deserved priority as they directly contributed to nation-building. Recalling that the school had earlier faced a shortage of classrooms and adequate safety infrastructure, he said the new facilities would enhance the learning experience of students. “We can construct school buildings, but it is the teachers who build the lives of students.
