Legendary actor Manoj Kumar’s demise has left an irreplaceable void in the Hindi film industry. Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman, who shared the screen with Kumar in three films, spoke to Filmfare after the actor’s demise and paid an emotional tribute. Rehman and Kumar worked on films such as Patthar Ke Sanam, Neel Kamal and Aadmi. Recalling her co-star, Rehman said that Kumar was interesting to work with and was very cooperative. The actress told us, “I worked with Manoj Ji on 3 films. He was a talented writer, director and editor. He had interesting ideas and he understood the pulse of the nation. He was interesting to work with, and I remember him being very cooperative and it was really nice working with him. May his soul rest in peace.” The late actor’s last rites were performed yesterday. Salim Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Prem Chopra, Subhash Ghai, Abhishek Bachchan, Arbaaz Khan and others arrived at Kumar’s residence to pay their last respects.
