Maharashtra`s Deputy CM Eknath Shinde on Saturday said that the grand memorial for Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Indu Mill in Dadar area of Mumbai is set to be completed by December 2025, an official statement said. Shinde assured the state legislature that the Mahayuti government is working relentlessly to develop Maharashtra into a prosperous and progressive state. Indu Chandhok, a veteran of Indian motorsports, passes away at 93

Indu Chandhok, the doyen of Indian motorsports with which he was actively associated for over six decades, passed away in Chennai this morning at the age of 93. He is survived by two sons, one daughter, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Madras Motor Sports Club president Ajit Thomas said: “In Indu Chandhok’s demise, the MMSC and Indian motorsports have lost a giant and an institutional figure. He was instrumental in providing definitive direction to motorsports in India and we are now enjoying the fruits of his untiring efforts. He also shaped MMSC to what it is today. Arjun Sampath’s son and the party’s youth wing leader A.S. Omkar Balaji in a case registered against him for having allegedly threatened to chop off journalist Nakkheeran R. Gopal’s tongue. Justice A.D. Jagadish Chandira granted the relief after taking into account that the petitioner was under incarceration since November 14 and on the condition that he must appear before the investigating officer attached to the Coimbatore City police every day until further orders. According to the prosecution, the IMK had organised a protest meeting near Racecourse station in Coimbatore on October 27 to condemn those who oppose Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev’s Isha Foundation and the Isha Yoga Centre located on the Velliangiri foothills. The police had registered a case against Mr. Balaji, son of IMK founder Arjun Sampath, for stating in a protest held in Coimbatore on October 27 that the tongue of Mr. Gopal would be chopped off. The IMK had staged the protest to condemn an article published by the Tamil magazine on Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. While addressing the protestors, he accused Mr. Gopal of spreading rumours about Isha Yoga Center and operating under the instructions of the DMK.
