All 13 passengers injured in Phuket-Delhi flight incident discharged: Air India

Air India on Wednesday said that all 13 passengers who were admitted to hospital after the incident involving flight Phuket-Delhi flight AI2379 have now been discharged. In an update issued at 3.30 pm on Wednesday, the airline said four crew members remain in hospital and continue to receive medical treatment. Flight AI2379, operated by an Airbus A320neo, was carrying 137 passengers and eight crew members when the incident occurred on August 4. Following the incident, 13 passengers and four crew members were taken to hospital for treatment. Air India said all injured passengers have since been discharged, while the four crew members remain under medical supervision. Air India providing support The airline said its teams continue to remain at the hospitals and are in regular contact with those affected. According to Air India, staff are providing all necessary assistance and support to injured passengers, crew members and their families. All three victims were aged between 20 and 25 years. ​According to preliminary reports, the incident took place between 1 AM and 2 AM inside the industrial plant. After the incident, the five labourers were rushed to the Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in neighbouring Raichur district, where three were declared brought dead. The injured persons — Hemanth and Shivakumar, both from Andhra Pradesh’s Ananthapur district — are undergoing treatment. One of them is stated to be battling for life.
