Congress Working Committee member Shashi Tharoor on Monday said that if some information into the death of Mumbai ATS chief Hemant Karkare during the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attack in the public domain has been pointed out by party leader Vijay Waddetiwar, then there should be a thorough inquiry into it to clear the air. “It is worth investigating. There should be serious investigation into Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar’s claim that former Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare was not killed by terrorists during the 26/11 attack but by a police official close to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS),” Tharoor said in the city on Monday.
