In choreographer Shabina Khan’s words, Salman Khan’s songs are usually “fast and filled with masti”. That’s exactly why Main Hoon Reprise, the latest song from Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, stands out. Salman Khan’s upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace has received its first industry review, and it comes from veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai. After attending a private screening of the film’s rough cut hosted by Salman, Ghai took to social media to praise the project, calling it a “must watch film.” The special screening was attended by several prominent names from the Hindi film industry, including Sooraj Barjatya, Kabir Khan, David Dhawan, Riteish Deshmukh, Chitrangda Singh and Siddharth Roy Kapur, who got an early look at the Apoorva Lakhia directorial inspired by the Galwan Valley clash. The uncertainty around ‘Maatrubhumi’ is beginning to frustrate exhibitors across Mumbai. Amid Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi uncertainty, another film on Galwan gets shelved: ‘Can’t bash China’ | Bollywood News

Salman Khan’s upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace has been stuck in limbo for quite some time now. Originally slated for an April 17 release, the film is yet to see the light of day. Interestingly, it appears that several films centred around the Indo-China conflict have met a similar fate. According to a report by Mid-day, actor Bhagyashree’s husband and producer Himalay Dassani had also planned a film titled The Lion of Galwan with his son, actor Abhimanyu Dassani.  The film was based on Vir Chakra awardee Sepoy Gurtej Singh, who was martyred during the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. However, the project has now been shelved indefinitely. ‘There cannot be China bashing’ Speaking to the publication, Himalay said, “The India-China relationship is much better today.
