Monsoon progress and synoptic situation As per the IMD’s synoptic update, the northern limit of the southwest monsoon continues to advance steadily across central and eastern India, with favourable conditions for further progress into Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, and parts of Chhattisgarh over the next two to three days.  A persistent seasonal trough extending from central Pakistan to Bangladesh across multiple states is also influencing weather conditions over central India.
