Police conducting a mock drill involving revenue, fire, medical departments, temple staff and devotees at the Ahobilam temple in Nandyal district on Thursday. Police on Thursday conducted a comprehensive emergency preparedness and capacity-building session involving police, revenue, fire, medical departments, staff and devotees at the Ahobilam temple. During the session, various emergency scenarios such as fire, stampede and potential security threats were simulated. The roles and responsibilities of each department were clearly explained to ensure coordinated and effective response during any unforeseen incident. Special emphasis was laid on alertness, preparedness, inter-departmental coordination and rapid response mechanisms. The mock drill was conducted on the instructions of District Collector Rajakumari Ganiya and Superintendent of Police Suneel Sheoran under the supervision of Allagadda Deputy Superintendent of Police K. Pramod in view of the forthcoming Brahmotsavams. During the drill, priority rescue protocols were highlighted, particularly for elderly persons, pregnant women and children during emergencies.
