An autorickshaw driver was killed and two others were injured after a gang allegedly carried out three robberies at different locations along Gorewada-Pitesur Road in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district during the early hours of Saturday, reported the PTI. Police said the incidents occurred within a short span of time, prompting an overnight operation that led to the arrest of all seven accused. According to police, 35-year-old Mohammad Kashid Mohammad Rafiq, a resident of Mominpura, was returning in his autorickshaw with a catering team when the gang intercepted the vehicle near a temple at around 12.30 am, as per the PTI. The attackers allegedly stabbed Kashid during the robbery. He was rushed to Mayo Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. A catering worker, Kamlesh Jadiya, was seriously injured while attempting to protect the driver during the attack.
