The construction of a new entrance of the Al Mateen Masjid, resumed in February this year after the mosque’s trustees secured approval from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). However, a complaint was filed on February 13, alleging unauthorised construction, following which the MCD issued a show cause notice halting the work. As many as 21 residents on Monday filed a complaint alleging stone-pelting on the night of March 2-3. Meanwhile, the first draw of lots for admissions under the Economic Weaker Section (EWS) category for the academic session 2025-26 will be held in the Conference Room of the Education Department at the Old Secretariat at 2.30 pm today. New Delhi: A stampede occurred at New Delhi Railway Station, resulting in the loss of 15 lives on Saturday. The incident happened around 10 pm when thousands of devotees were heading to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh 2025 festival, causing severe overcrowding at the station.
