The construction of a new entrance of the Al Mateen Masjid, resumed in February this year after the mosque’s trustees secured approval from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). However, a complaint was filed on February 13, alleging unauthorised construction, following which the MCD issued a show cause notice halting the work. As many as 21 residents on Monday filed a complaint alleging stone-pelting on the night of March 2-3.
