Paresh Rawal might be one of the best comic actors for decades, but in real life, he’s also infamous for a couple of episodes when he lost his cool. One such incident was while he was performing the play Pratishodh, when he got off the stage, went into the audience, and smacked an audience member who was constantly making vulgar comments. “I couldn’t stop myself. I just went into the direction of where the sound was coming from. Somebody was making continuous, vulgar comments. There was a lot of furore over that incident. Obviously, the play got shut down that day. The theatre owners also said they wouldn’t let Paresh come back and perform there,” recalled Rawal.
