The Delhi High Court on Thursday agreed to hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the violence that allegedly took place during the July 20 “Chalo Sansad” protest over the alleged NEET paper leak. The petition seeks the transfer of all First Information Reports (FIRs) registered by the Delhi Police in connection with the incident to a specialised investigating agency and requests action against those allegedly involved in the violence. High Court lists PIL for hearing on Friday The matter was mentioned before a Division Bench comprising Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia. This overhaul includes the deployment of more than 3,300 personnel who must clear mandatory psychological and physical assessments before being assigned to the legislative building. To improve long-term familiarity and secure access control, the CISF also revised its posting policy extending the tenure of specialised troops from three to four years. According to the CISF, deployed personnel will receive rigorous and specialised training from elite units like the National Security Guard (NSG) and Indian Army with focus on advanced threats – drone mitigation and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) incidents.
