Video: Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka detained during protest near PM Modi's residence

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were detained by Delhi Police on Tuesday during a protest near Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence at Lok Kalyan Marg, reported the ANI. The protest was organised to demand accountability over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and seek the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Several Congress leaders and workers were also detained as police moved to disperse the demonstrators. Police personnel attempted to remove Rahul Gandhi from the protest location and were seen carrying him towards a police vehicle during the detention. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticised the police action while being taken away, saying that the protesters were not afraid and would continue raising students’ concerns. Wooden panels showcasing scenes from the Ramayana and a selection of Chola bronzes are among the artefacts that adorn the premises inaugurated by PM Modi on February 13. Sources said as many as 100 artwork, including metal art pieces, oil paintings, sculptures and antique objects, have been sourced from the collections of the National Gallery of Modern Art, Lalit Kala Akademi, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) and the Ministry of External Affairs Toshakhana, where gifts received from foreign dignitaries are deposited.
