Prabath Jayasuriya Reprimanded for Breaching ICC Code of Conduct

The spinner Prabath Jayasuriya was fined by the ICC for breaching the Level 01 code of conduct during the second test against India in Colombo. He will be the third player to be sanctioned for an incident during the second ICC World Test Championship contest against India in Colombo. He was officially reprimanded by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday after being found guilty of a Level 01 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct for players and player support personnel. The incident occurred off the final delivery on day two when Jayasuriya was dismissed by Manav Suthar. He struck his bat on the boundary wedges on his way back to the pavilion. The offence falls under Article 2.2 of the Code, which relates to the inappropriate use or abuse of cricket equipment, clothing, ground equipment or fixtures during an international match.
