After he produced a peach in Qualifier 1 to dismiss his national teammate Travis Head in the first over, Mitch Starc came up with arguably the best delivery of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 in the title clash. This time, Abhishek Sharma was at the receiving end. Having opted to bat first at Chepauk, Pat Cummins’ side would have been hoping for a good start in the powerplay. Jasprit Bumrah Wins Battle With Virat Kohli, Produces Stunner To Dismiss RCB Star – Watch

Jasprit Bumrah produced a brilliant delivery to dismiss Virat Kohli during the IPL 2024 match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday. The battle between the two Indian cricket team superstars was something that all fans were waiting for but it was the fast bowler who had the last laugh. Kohli had a somewhat shaky start to his innings and he had no answer to a sharp in-swinger from the fast bowler. The ball pitched just short of good length and shaped back rapidly to leave Kohli struggling. The star batter ended up getting a prominent inside edge on the ball and Ishan Kishan completed a diving catch behind the stumps to end his stay at the crease for just 3. Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to field. Boom Boom Bumrah!@Jaspritbumrah93 comes into the attack and gets the big wicket of Virat Kohli. MI vs DC: Just Jasprit things as Bumrah produces a special yorker, Rohit vs Ishant in battle of Sharmas and more | Ipl News

Just Jassi things That Jasprit Bumrah bowls a mean yorker is no surprise. That Jasprit Bumrah continues to dismiss even well-set batters who know full well that a mean yorker is always around the corner, is the stuff of genius. Brought back into the attack when Delhi were stitching together a decent partnership, Bumrah produced one of those heat-seeking missiles from his armory. It’s like his brain has a radar and the ball is programmed to hit the base of the stumps when he demands it to. Shaw was batting on 66 off 39 balls, and was starting to find the gaps more regularly. But the gap Bumrah needed was just millimeters between the bottom of the bat and in front of the stumps. The ball was angled in, nearly took Shaw’s toe off his backfoot, then completely took the leg stump off the ground. And in complete contrast to the delivery, as per usual, the celebration was once more just a leap and a gentle smile. Battle of the Sharmas Rohit Sharma and Ishant …

In crunch time, Kiran George produces an aggressive finish to beat China’s World No.19 Lu Guang Zu | Badminton News

Since the start of 2023, Kiran George had played out 14 tight finishes of 21-19, 22-20 or 23-21 score lines on the world tour, and won only 8 of those. One of India’s finest bludgeons from the back court, would fall back frustratingly in the endgame as his impressive strokeplay was rendered a footnote in losses. On Thursday, Kiran, the world No.36, literally went ballistic in finishing in the Round of 16 at Indonesia Masters, winning 21-11, 13-21, 21-18 against China’s World No.19 Lu Guang Zu. As he had missed out on opportunities to go deeper into draws, his coaches at the Prakash Padukone academy in Bangalore – Vimal Kumar, Sagar Chopda and DK Sen, had been drilling into him the importance of a strong, aggressive finish. Kiran’s father George Thomas, had heard it all too often, how his son wasn’t pushing the pedal when required. It was a hard watch because George, the 1991 Indian national champion, was known for his blistering pace and muscled aggression while killing off points. Kiran’s soft exits stung. …
