Sam Levinson shares Sydney Sweeney’s 3-word reaction after he proposed cutting Cassie’s nude scenes

Sam Levinson recently opened up about his creative process for Euphoria Season 3 and it turns out, it was Sydney Sweeney herself who convinced him not to tone down the A-rated content in the series featuring her. A behind-the-scenes confession from Sam Levinson has reignited debate over Sydney Sweeney’s controversial Euphoria storyline. (Evan Agostini/Invision/AP) Sweeney told Levinson to stop holding back In an interview with the New York Times podcast Popcast, Levinson revealed that he had actually thought about shooting Sweeney’s scenes without any nudity. But Sweeney quickly shut that idea down. “Well, it’s funny. When I first wrote it, I was like, ‘Maybe we shoot all of this and we don’t have any nudity. Maybe there’s ways to shoot around certain things?’” Levinson said. “And she looked at me and she was like, ‘Are you kidding? I’m playing an OnlyFans model. You’re telling me you’re going to, like, skirt around it?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, OK, that’s a fair point.’” Levinson described Sweeney as “totally fearless” and “wonderfully professional,” saying the two share …

Ahead of Rubio’s India trip, US lawmaker urges Secretary of State to flag concerns over proposed FCRA changes

Ahead of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s visit to India, an American lawmaker urged him to raise concerns regarding the proposed changes to India’s Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA). Rubio is set to hold extensive discussions with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Sunday. (AP) Rubio is set to hold extensive discussions with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Sunday, and will attend the Quad foreign ministers’ meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday next week. US Congressman Chris Smith said that the alterations if they go through would allegedly disproportionately affect Christian charities and churches. In an oped written for the Washington Examiner, Smith argued that the passage of new restrictive amendments “could do lasting damage to the relations between our two countries.” The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026 was introduced in the Lok Sabha in March 2026, and seeks to amend the existing 2010 law. It lays out provisions for how Indian individuals, companies and associations may receive and utilise foreign contribution. In his argument, Smith has in particular expressed concern about …

What does India’s proposed criminal anti-doping provisions actually say?

What does India’s proposed criminal anti-doping provisions actually say?

India is preparing for a major shift in how it tackles doping in sport. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has placed proposed amendments to the National Anti-Doping Act, 2022, in the public domain for consultation, seeking to criminalise organised doping-related activities such as trafficking, illegal supply, administration and commercial promotion of banned substances. The consultation process will remain open until June 18, 2026. At the heart of the proposal is a clear message: the government no longer wants anti-doping enforcement to focus only on athletes who test positive. Instead, it wants to target the wider ecosystem that enables doping, traffickers, illegal suppliers, organised syndicates, unscrupulous coaches, support personnel and commercial operators profiting from banned substances. The ministry said the proposed amendments are aimed at addressing the “growing organised ecosystem” involved in the trafficking and illegal distribution of performance-enhancing substances and methods in sport. Why is this proposal significant? For years, India’s anti-doping system has largely functioned within the sporting framework. Athletes who failed tests were punished through suspensions, disqualifications, stripped medals and bans …

High speed mechanised boats proposed for Nellore fishermen

Photo: Special Arrangement Rajya Sabha Member Beedha Mastan Rao Yadav has mooted a proposal to procure high speed mechanised boats to strengthen the fishing capabilities of the fishermen of SPSR Nellore district, who have been recently facing onslaught due to incursion by fellow fishermen from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The absence of such larger boats along the State’s coastline is widely felt as the reason for poaching from the neighbouring States. Such boats help the fishers travel deeper into the sea and stay for longer durations, which improves their livelihood sources in the form of a higher yield. Queer community, activists protest proposed Transgender Amendment Bill | Pune News

2 min readPuneMar 23, 2026 10:03 AM IST Around 200 members of the queer community and activists held a protest against the recently introduced Transgender Amendment Bill, presented in the Lok Sabha, at Sambhaji Udayan on JM Road in Pune on Sunday. Terming the bill “regressive” and “harmful to gender minorities”, protesters argued that the bill undermines the landmark NALSA judgment, which had earlier recognised an individual’s right to self-identify their gender. The proposed amendment, however, mandates medical verification for gender-affirming procedures, a move many see as an infringement on bodily autonomy. “Gender cannot be decided by the government or a medical report. My body, my choice,” said transgender activist Manasvi Goilkar. “Earlier, we had the right to self-identify, but now we are being forced to prove who we are. One’s identity should be their own choice—there is nothing to prove.” Concerns were also raised about the bill’s alleged bias in criminal justice. Goilkar added, “The government claims trans people are criminals, yet crimes against us receive lighter punishments. This leaves us without protection.” Pritee, …
