Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan on Monday evening launched a new rendition of his iconic song Papa Kehte Hain from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), his debut film as a lead actor. Titled Papa Kehte Hain 2.0, the track is from Srikanth, which features Rajkummar Rao. Singer Udit Narayan, the voice behind Papa Kehte Hain, was also present at the event. Launching the careers of its lead actors Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla, Qayamat se Qayamat Tak (QSQT) was a cinematic tour de force that released in 1988 and was a romantic drama burst onto the Indian film scene, capturing the hearts of millions. As the film clocks 35 years (on April 29), actor Dalip Tahil, who played Aamir’s onscreen father in the film, revisits its magic, impact, and recalls some interesting anecdotes from the shoot.
