It’s been over 30 years since Aamir Khan made his Bollywood debut in the 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Directed by Mansoor Khan, the film also featured Juhi Chawla. During the trailer launch event of his son Junaid Khan’s upcoming project Loveyapa, Aamir opened up about his debut film. He shared, “I felt like my work was not very fine-tuned in some places. Some scenes I did well, and also the song moments like ‘Papa Kehte Hai’ were done well. But there are still a few moments that irritate me as an actor. I didn’t enjoy them.” He also praised Juhi Chawla saying, “She did a good job and was polished as an actor with a command over her dialogue delivery and expression. He admitted that had the original draft of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar been made, he feels it could have ‘destroyed’ Aamir’s career. Mansoor Khan, while speaking on the India Now and How YouTube channel, shared how the idea for Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar came to life even before Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, a film conceptualized by his father, Nasir Husain. He began developing the sports drama in 1986 with Aamir Khan in mind, who was just 19 or 20 at the time. Meanwhile, Nasir was creating Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak to launch Aamir’s career.  Reflecting on the timeline, Mansoor admitted that had he pursued the original version of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, it could have jeopardized Aamir Khan‘s early career. Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan on Monday evening launched a new rendition of his iconic song `Papa Kehte Hain` from `Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak`, his debut film as a lead actor. Titled `Papa Kehte Hain 2.0`, the track is from `Srikanth` film, which features Rajkummar Rao. Singer Udit Narayan, the voice behind `Papa Kehte Hain` song, was also present at the event. During the event, Aamir recalled seeing only flaws while watching the film with his cousin and director Mansoor Khan.  He said, “When we were making this film, the way Nasir Saab supported us since Mansoor Khan was making his first film.
