Ronaldo dodges Messi question, then says possible showdown ‘would be awesome’

2 min readUpdated: Jun 24, 2026 12:30 PM IST He had just scored twice, made history, shouted “I’m back” at a camera and survived a dark week. Cristiano Ronaldo had every reason to be generous in the mixed zone at Houston Stadium on Tuesday night. Then someone mentioned Messi. A reporter began: “Yesterday, Lionel Messi scored 2 goals and Mbappe…” He did not finish the sentence. Ronaldo turned his head, said “Go ahead,” and invited the next reporter to speak. Messi’s name had been in the air for perhaps two seconds. The moment was clipped, posted, and went around the world inside the hour. It came just days after Messi became the all-time leading scorer in men’s World Cup history, reaching 18 goals to surpass Germany’s Miroslav Klose. Messi leads the Golden Boot race with five goals in two games. Ronaldo, by contrast, had gone into Tuesday’s game yet to score at the tournament. Ronaldo shut down a second attempt too. Asked about Messi, Mbappe and Haaland, who are leading the race for the Golden …

US senators question Pakistan’s role in Iran talks after Vance’s praise: ‘History of harbouring terrorists’

After the United States Vice President JD Vance’s public praise for the country, Republican Senators raised questions regarding Pakistan’s role in negotiations to end the West Asia conflict. Two US lawmakers have called into question Islamabad and Qatar’s place at the negotiating table. (AFP) In the midst of the US-Iran conflict, both Pakistan and Qatar had emerged as the primary mediators in negotiations. The deal to end the war was signed last week, following which Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked both sides “for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution.” However, two US lawmakers have now called into question Islamabad’s and Qatar’s place at the negotiating table, as talks on the technical details of the final deal are underway. When Narayana Murthy stunned R Madhavan with a tricky question in front of his wife | Bollywood News

4 min readKochiJun 22, 2026 08:42 PM IST Even though they had never crossed paths professionally, actor R Madhavan and businessman Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys, once sat down for a conversation. However, it wasn’t a regular chat where two people sat in private to interact. Instead, it happened during an event where Madhavan interviewed Murthy. While the conversation mostly focused on the future of India, it also featured some heartwarming moments as they asked each other personal questions. Held as part of a session at the India-Singapore Exposition in August 2007, Murthy requested that Madhavan, in particular, be the interviewer, much to the surprise of everyone, including the actor. Although taken aback, Madhavan was not ready to pass on the opportunity to interact with one of his “idols.” While the interview covered many serious topics, Murthy also took the chance to ask the actor who his favourite heroine was. Onstage, they also opened up about their romantic relationships with their respective significant others. Why R Madhavan idolises Narayana Murthy “It was a dream …

‘Why question my ability to reproduce?’: Ram Charan-Upasana’s journey to becoming parents | Telugu News

‘Why question my ability to reproduce?’: Ram Charan-Upasana’s journey to becoming parents | Telugu News

For years, one question followed Ram Charan’s wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela everywhere. Not about her work as a businesswoman, philanthropist or healthcare entrepreneur. Not about her role in one of India’s most influential business families. But about when she planned to have a child. After marrying actor Ram Charan in 2012, Upasana spent more than a decade facing public scrutiny over the couple’s decision to delay parenthood. Questions about her marriage soon evolved into questions about her fertility, reproductive choices and even her ability to become a mother. Upasana never objected to motherhood itself. What she resisted was the idea that society should decide when it happened. The woman who once publicly asked why people felt entitled to question her “ability to reproduce” is today raising three children — daughter Klin Kaara and twins Shivram and Anveera Devi. Yet through every phase of that journey, one thing has remained constant: her belief that motherhood should be a choice, not an obligation. From speaking openly about freezing her eggs and defending her decision to remain child-free …

This $1M Horror Phenomenon Is Leaving Couples With One Unsettling Question About Love

“Bear didn’t want Nikki to be obsessed with him. He wanted her love. When did love turn into obsession? Wasn’t the wish about love?” This was the first thing my girlfriend asked me after we walked out of the theatre having watched the much-talked-about movie, which, by now, I hope you’ve guessed from the title. If not, well, Obsession, duh. It would not be an offence to call the new Curry Barker film a phenomenon. Made on a budget of less than a million dollars, the psychological horror movie has grossed more than $300 million worldwide, putting it at well over 300 times its budget, pardon my math. People are flocking to theatres to see what the hype is about. My Instagram feed is filled with posts about it. Men are going with men to see what happens when girls become girlfriends. Girls are going with girls to see how the girl on screen behaves when she becomes a girlfriend. Couples are going to see how different their relationships are from the one portrayed on …
