After a recent hearing in which the court directed the actor to visit the Chamundeshwari Temple, a fresh update has emerged that the Karnataka High Court has accepted the Bollywood actor’s unconditional apology in the recent hearing. For those unaware, Ranveer had faced backlash for mimicking a Daiva scene from Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 at a public event. His apology read, “My intention was to highlight Rishabh’s incredible performance in the film. Actor to actor, I know how much it would take to perform that particular scene in the way that he did, for which he has my utmost admiration. I have always deeply respected every culture, tradition and belief in our country. If I’ve hurt anyone’s sentiments, I sincerely apologise.” As per recent developments, the FIR has been filed by advocate Prashanth Methal before the 1st Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Court. The private complaints alleges that Ranveer had hurt his religious sentiments by mocking a sacred daiva tradition at a public event. Following the court’s orders, the complaint was forwarded to the High Grounds police, who went on to file an FIR against the actor on Wednesday under Sections 196, 299 and 302 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
