1 killed, 2 injured in Delhi as car collides with motorcycle in East Delhi | Delhi News

A 22-year-old man died and two others sustained injuries following a collision between a motorcycle and a car in East Delhi’s Krishna Nagar early on Monday, police said. The incident was reported around 4.10 am, police said, adding that officers found both the two-wheeler and the red car on the spot. Officers said that Sehbaaj, a resident of Khureji who was riding the two-wheeler, was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead. His cousin Sameer, who was riding pillion, is currently undergoing treatment, they also said. The driver of the Maruti Swift, identified as Rishabh from Sangam Vihar, was admitted to the hospital with injuries. Another occupant of the car allegedly fled after the crash and is yet to be traced, officers said. Police added that a case has been registered for rash and negligent driving causing death. Mercedes hit-and-run case: Father arrested, police seek JJB permission to try minor as adult | Ahmedabad News

Two days after a minor was conditionally left off in connection with a hit-and-run accident in Ahmedabad’s Bopal area on Saturday — leading to a 34-year-old security guard’s death — the accused’s father, who was named as the co-accused in the FIR, was arrested on Thursday even as the Ahmedabad Rural Police sought permission from the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) to try the 17-year-and-eight-month old as an adult. The minor, whose father is an Ahmedabad-based builder, was driving a Mercedes and had escaped from the spot after the accident, said police, adding that the car has also been taken in custody. On Thursday, the police presented the minor’s father before a local court which granted him bail, confirmed Bopal Police Inspector BT Gohil. The minor, who was detained on September 17 and presented before the JJB, was conditionally let off till September 23 on the grounds that he had to appear for his BBA examination.
