A disturbing video from Anantapur railway station in Andhra Pradesh has ignited fresh debate around the safety of gig workers, especially food delivery partners operating under tight timelines. The clip, shared on Instagram by Bijay Anand, shows a Swiggy delivery partner losing balance and falling while attempting to get off a moving train moments after handing over an order. The food had been delivered on the Prashanti Express (train no. 18464), which, according to Anand, stopped at the station for barely one or two minutes. “No delivery is worth a human life,” the post’s caption states. The customer who placed the order was travelling in a First AC coach, which has multiple entry points. By the time the delivery partner completed the handover, the train had already begun to pull out of the station. With his bike parked outside, food bag in hand, and other deliveries pending, the rider tried to step down quickly and ended up falling hard, a moment that left viewers shaken.
