A Delhi court on Wednesday reserved orders on an application moved by Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a key accused in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks of 2008, seeking permission for a telephonic facility to speak to his family members, in the face of opposition by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) claiming that the facility could be misused to pass on information crucial to the investigation of the case. Tahawwur Rana was extradited from the U.S. after a protracted legal battle and was remanded to 18-day NIA custody on April 11.
