The Chennai International Airport has activated preparedness measures in view of the Ebola virus, ramping up screening and setting up isolation rooms at the international terminal for arrivals from affected countries. The isolation rooms set up in T2 are equipped with dedicated safety and infection-control measures. The High Court’s first Division Bench of Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava and Justice G. Arul Murugan is expected to hear the PIL petition, filed by former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Tiruvottiyur, K. Kuppan (71), on Monday (January 12, 2026).
