Joseph Vijay toured the Secretariat campus and several iconic places within the historic Fort St. George complex in a battery-operated car on Friday. Mr. Vijay began the tour from Gate 10 of the Secretariat and visited St. Mary’s Church, one of the oldest British-era structures in Tamil Nadu. After spending some time at the church, he proceeded past the office of the Archaeological Survey of India, the defence hospital area, the parade ground, and near the Chennai Fort Railway Station. Hundreds of Secretariat staff, government employees, and members of the public greeted the Chief Minister as he went around the campus. The premier international beach volleyball event, The Beach World Pro Tour, is returning to India after a one-year gap. It will be held from 4 to 8 March, 2026 in Bhubaneswar. Around 120 athletes from over 15 countries will compete in what is the the second tier of the Pro circuit.
