At least six people were injured in Gujarat’s Rajkot on Diwali night on Thursday as a Toyota Fortuner allegedly being driven at full speed hit several vehicles, causing a pile-up on 150 Feet Ring Road. The driver of the SUV was booked on Friday after a complaint was lodged at a local police station but is yet to be arrested. According to the First Information Report (FIR), Satyam Solanki, 29, his brother Kevin, and maternal cousins Deep and Neeraj Kodavala were riding two bikes and returning home at about 10.15 pm on Thursday when the accident occurred. In his complaint at the Gandhigram police station, Satyam said he and his brothers were on 150 Feet Ring Road heading from Modi school towards Nirmala Convent School. Satyam said that he and Neeraj were standing by the side of the road, waiting for Kevin and Deep to catch up, when he saw a black Toyota Fortuner ram into his brothers’ bike.
