UGC NET date: DMK MP Kanimozhi expressed concern over the clash of UGC NET exam dates with Pongal alleging that it is a widely celebrated festival. Calling it an appalling decision, the MP further mentioned that it shows complete insensitivity to the people of Tamil Nadu, as she alleged that the “lack of consideration is becoming a pattern.” The Member of Parliament penned a letter to Education Minister, addressing the issue. Interested candidates can complete their online registration on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The UGC NET for the June 2024 session is reportedly scheduled to take place from June 10 to June 21, 2024. The UGC-NET is primarily a test to determine the eligibility of an Indian national for ‘Assistant Professor’ as well as ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian Universities and Colleges.
