Have you heard? Ram Charan praises audience support for patriotic and unifying narratives

Bringing the nation together Telugu star Ram Charan said the success of ‘Peddi’ and the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise reflects audience’s  support for films that promote national unity. Speaking at a summit in New Delhi on June 23, the actor said such stories resonate because they place “India first”. “‘Dhurandhar’ had everything falling in place in the right way, in the right tempo,” he said. “National integrity is very important in our forthcoming films. It has brought the country together.” Ram added that box-office collections are ultimately driven by audience acceptance, saying, “If people of India are owning it and want this to happen, why not? It’s doing good for our nation.” Box-office snapshot ‘Dhurandhar’, which arrived in cinemas in 2025, reportedly made Rs 1,300+ crore globally, whereas the film’s sequel, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ (released on March 19) grossed R1,800+ crore. ‘Peddi’, which released on June 4, has reportedly earned R331 crore worldwide in 20 days Disclaimer: We do not own any of the content, ideas, images, or text presented here.
