Bringing the nation together
Telugu star Ram Charan said the success of ‘Peddi’ and the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise reflects audience’s support for films that promote national unity. Speaking at a summit in New Delhi on June 23, the actor said such stories resonate because they place “India first”. “‘Dhurandhar’ had everything falling in place in the right way, in the right tempo,” he said. “National integrity is very important in our forthcoming films. It has brought the country together.” Ram added that box-office collections are ultimately driven by audience acceptance, saying, “If people of India are owning it and want this to happen, why not? It’s doing good for our nation.”
