Samsung’s Galaxy S24 is first to be able to upload HDR photos to Instagram

Instagram will be able to display HDR photographs taken with Samsung’s new Galaxy S24 phones, the two companies have announced. “Every photo and video you take, or view, will be shown in its full range of color and contrast, from the moment you snap the content, to the moment you post,” said Samsung’s VP of Intelligent Imaging, Dr. Hamid Sheikh, onstage at the S24 launch event. “In fact the Galaxy S24 series will be the first ever to have HDR enabled for photos on Instagram.” The app already supports HDR videos. HDR support was one of a handful of social media photography-focused features Samsung announced for its new phones, the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra. Twitter Rolls Out Ability to Upload 60 Minute Long Videos for Blue Subscribers: All Details

Twitter is rolling out the ability to upload up to 60 minute long videos for Twitter Blue subscribers. The micro-blogging site has announced the update via its Twitter Blue page. The company states that subscribers can now upload 60 minute long videos. However, there is a twist, the feature is only available on the Web right now and is not available on the iOS or Android apps. Recently, Twitter also rolled out a new View Count for tweets that lets users see the actual view count on a tweet just the way it shows on videos. According to the details shared on Twitter Community Page, Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to share up to a 60-minute video at 1080p resolution on the web. The video should, however, be under 2GB in size. This feature is not available on Twitter Android or iOS apps. Earlier, Twitter Blue subscribers were allowed to upload only 10 minute long videos on the platform at 1080p resolution with a file size limit of 512MB. However, this has increased now. …

Medibank Data Breach: Hackers Upload More Customer Data, Say ‘Case Closed’ on World Cybersecurity Day

Medibank, Australia’s biggest health insurer, said on Thursday hackers had released more of its stolen medical records, as the media reported that the complete set of data on millions of customers was now public. The Office of the Australian Information Commission (OAIC), the country’s privacy regulator, has also begun investigating how the company handles personal information, Medibank said in a statement. The latest release on the dark web follows progressive uploads, including records of customers’ mental health and alcohol use, that began after Medibank said on November 7 it would not pay a ransom. “The raw data we have analysed today so far is incomplete and hard to understand,” chief executive David Koczkar said. “While there are media reports of this being a signal of ‘case closed’, our work is not over.” On Thursday, the media reported that a blog, believed by cyber experts to be used by the hackers, carried a new post: “Happy Cyber Security Day!!!
