The Assamese film had its world premiere in the Generation Kplus Competition, a category dedicated to stories about children and young adults. This is Rima’s third film to get a screening at the Berlinale after Bulbul Can Sing (2018) and Village Rockstars 2 (2024), and her second to receive a special mention after Bulbul Can Sing did in the Generation 14plus section in 2019. But her breakthrough happened with the 2017 coming-of-age film Village Rockstars. After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, it was selected as India’s official entry for the 91st Academy Awards, the first Assamese film to get that distinction.
