Ramsundar Reddy to remove their land in Garjularega village from prohibitory list, which would allow them to build houses in the government allocated land. Vizianagaram District Army Officers Welfare Association president Devara Eswara Rao and secretary Barukula Venkata Rao submitted a detailed memorandum to Mr. Reddy in the grievance cell to remove their 15 acres of land in from prohibitory list from 22/A prohibitory list, stating that the association had already spent for levelling of the land. RAJU The Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh has sought the support of both Union and State governments to have a full-fledged faculty as it plans to introduce new courses on its new campus atChina Madapalliin Mentada mandal, which is expected to be ready by June 2025, according to sources. The university currently offers 13 courses such as tribal-studies, bio-technology, business management, botany, chemistry, geography and sociology. Over the past several years, the 18 teaching and 12 non-teaching staff have been finding it hard to handle all the current 13 departments. The university, which is planning to introduce 11 new courses, needs 77 additional teaching posts and 48 non-teaching posts, according to the university management. Vice-Chancellor (V-C) T.V. He said that an awareness camp would also be conducted to explain the consequences of overspeeding, drunken driving, driving without a seat belt and helmet and others. As many as 10 persons were killed in three weeks near Polipalli of Bhogapuram mandal in Vizianagaram district. It was observed that high speed and unskilled driving were the reasons for the road accidents in Polipalli, which is located on the Srikakulam-Visakhapatnam national highway. Against this background, Mr.Jindal held a meeting with senior officials of Bhogapuram and other areas to chalk out an action plan to stop road accidents on the route. Thousands of farmers are in distress with the financial loss owing to the damage to the standing crop with the change in its colour. The district received 2698 mm rainfall, across all the 27 mandals, as against the normal rainfall 99 mm in the last three days. Untimely, rains and inclement weather forced the farmers to keep the crop in fields with the absence of storage facility. A majority of them don’t have even quality tarpaulins to protect the grains near the fields. Avanthi pharmaceutical college gets NAAC A+ grade

Avanthi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Cherukupally in Vizianagaram district secured NAAC A+ grade with a CGPA score of 3.28, according to a press release from the college management on Saturday. The NAAC team, which observed the facilities and infrastructure in the college on November 27 and 28, sent a communication to the institution about the sanctioning of the grade. Chairman of Avanthi group of colleges, Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, congratulated the college principal, professors and others for striving hard to improve the standards of the college to meet the expectations of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other organisations. Vizianagaram Municipal Corporation takes up special drive for removal of shops located on footpaths

The Vizianagaram Municipal Corporation has taken special drive for the removal of petty shops which were set up on footpaths in almost all localities of the City. Tiffin centers, tea shops, panipuri counters, mobile repair centers and others have come up on well developed footpaths with the funds provided by the Union and central governments for the improvement of civic infrastructure in cities and towns. The vehicles parked in haphazard manner near those shops are also causing traffic problems in several areas. Pedestrians who do not find space to walk on footpaths are moving on roads, disrupting the movement of vehicles. With the directive from Vizianagaram Municipal Commissioner Palli Nallanayya, the civic authorities took the initiative in removing those shops to ensure hassle free usage of footpaths near fort junction, Balaji junction, Ring Road and other places.
