India condemns attack on vessel off Oman coast; 3 crew members missing
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has condemned an attack on the commercial vessel Settebello off the coast of Oman, describing the incident as deeply concerning amid ongoing tensions in the region. According to an official statement, the MEA stated that the vessel was attacked earlier on the day, prompting an immediate search and rescue operation involving Oman authorities. The ministry said that 24 Indian crew members were on board the vessel at the time of the attack. So far, 21 Indians have been rescued, while three crew members are still reported missing. India`s Embassy in Oman stated that it was closely monitoring the situation and is actively coordinating with local authorities involved in the ongoing search and rescue efforts of the crew members.
