2026 ENG vs IND 2nd T20I Playing 11: Harry Brook-led England will square off against Shreyas Iyer-led India in the 2nd T20I match on July 04 at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.
With the first match ending in a draw, both sides will be aiming for a win to get a lead in the series. The cricketing sides have met on 31 occasions, where India have 18 wins while England have 12 wins.
India won the toss and opted to bat. Speaking at the toss, India captain Shreyas Iyer said, “We are going to bat first again.”
Speaking on today Indian Cricket team playing 11, Iyer said, “One change, Vaibhav (Sooryavanshi) comes in for Sanju (Samson). Absolutely. You’ve seen him in the last couple of months, the way he’s been smashing the ball, taking on the best of the bowlers, shows immense confidence that he possesses.”

Speaking on Suryavanshi’s inclusion, Shreyas Iyer added, “Not really. I feel that he completely deserves to be in the squad the way he has performed in the last couple of months and years. He’s someone who doesn’t take pressure at all. The way you see him inside the dressing room, he’s got that unflinching nature. And so good to have him around.”
Meanwhile, England captain Harry Brook said, “We would have a bat as well. Yeah, it was an awesome day that. And unfortunately we’re not going to be able to do that again unless we chase down 300. But we’re all really looking forward to getting out there and playing against a strong Indian side.”
Speaking on changes in the England’s playing 11, Brook said, “Yeah, we’re pretty happy with the selections. Obviously Joff coming back in is a very strong player for us. And Tongy has been knocking the door down for a while now. And I think it’s the right time to give him an opportunity.”
