In an old interview, Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan were asked whether they would be in a relationship if they were single.

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are one of Bollywood’s most iconic on-screen couples, captivating audiences with their undeniable chemistry in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and more. The duo last appeared together in Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale, alongside Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. In an old promotional interview, the two were asked whether they would have dated each other if they were single.
During the interview with NDTV, Kajol revealed, “I honestly don’t know because I think I was already seeing Ajay (Devgn, her husband) at that point in time when we were six months into Baazigar.” Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan gave a witty response, saying, “I was also seeing Ajay at that time.”

Moving on, Shah Rukh and Kajol first appeared together on screen in the iconic film Baazigar, where SRK received immense praise for portraying a grey character. Meanwhile, their amazing chemistry in the film made them a popular on-screen duo in Bollywood.
Talking about their personal life, before even making his Bollywood debut, Shah Rukh married Gauri Khan in a Hindu ceremony. Later, the couple welcomed their first child, Aryan, in 1997 and their daughter Suhana in 2000. AbRam, their third child, was born in 2013.
On the other hand, Kajol began dating Ajay Devgn in 1994 and married him in 1999 at the actor’s house in a Maharashtrian ceremony. They currently have a son named Yug Devgan and a daughter named Nysa Devgan.
On the work front, SRK, who was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, is next gearing up for an action thriller film titled King. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars his daughter Suhana Khan and actor Abhishek Bachchan in key roles.
Moving on, Kajol will appear in Vishal Furia’s directorial film Maa. Set to release in theatres on 27 June 2025, this horror film also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, Gopal Singh, Surjyasikha Das, Yaaneea Bharadwaj, Roopkatha Chakraborty, and Kherin Sharma in crucial roles.
