Shahnaz Lala Rukh Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s sister, is around six years elder to him. Shahnaz and Shah Rukh, experienced great sadness early in life when they lost both of their parents. Shah Rukh lost his mother, Latif Fatima Khan, at the age of 25 after his father, Taj Mohammad Khan, died when he was just 16. Shahnaz was profoundly impacted by the loss; rumours have it that she was emotionally devastated by her father’s passing, which resulted in a long period of depression and chronic sickness.
