At least 10 people were killed after a landslide triggered the collapse of an under-construction tunnel at the NHPC Teesta Stage VI Hydroelectric Project in Sikkim’s Namchi district. Twenty-five workers and project officials were trapped in the incident, while Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang announced ex gratia for the victims’ families.
