3 workers killed in Greater Noida furniture factory fire | Delhi News


Three workers were killed in a fire in a furniture factory in Greater Noida Tuesday morning.

Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Greater Noida, they were alerted about the fire at around 8.15 am in the Beta2 area of Greater Noida.

Kumar said the deceased have been identified as Gulfam, 23, Mazhar Alam, 29 and Dilshad, 24. “Both Alam and Dilshad were the residents of Bihar’s Katihar district and Arariya, and Gulfam was from Bhura Nagriya village in the Mathura district,” the ADCP said.  

The police officer said the three men were sleeping inside when the fire erupted at the sofa-making factory.

“We deployed four fire fighting vehicles to control the situation and have sent the bodies for post mortem and further investigation is underway,” Kumar said.
