The sci-fi action film AA22xA6 marks the first collaboration between actor Allu Arjun and filmmaker Atlee. Speaking at the year’s biggest entertainment event, WAVES Summit 2025, Arjun opened up about the collaboration, saying that he and Atlee were “like-minded” on many levels.
On Day 1 of Waves Summit, the actor took the stage for the panel discussion titled Talent Beyond Borders. When asked about working with Atlee in his 22nd film, he said, “It’s my 22nd film with director Atlee gaaru, who made Jawan and many other superhit films in the South. We have come together.”
Talking about the movie tentatively titled AA22xA6, Arjun shared, “I really liked the idea that he told me and I like his aspirations. I felt we were like-minded on many levels. We hope to bring a very new visual spectacle to Indian cinema. It will be a very international presentation with total Indian sensibilities.”

Allu Arjun also spoke taking Indian cinema to a global level by pushing boundaries. He said, “With all due respect to every other film industry in the world, whether it is Hollywood films, Korean films, Iranian films, or Chinese films, everybody has had an impact on global box office. We have such a big film industry and we’ve been there for so many decades. But we never had a serious impact on the global box office. I feel it’s just about time… India is getting there. We, as a country, are growing and in the coming years, Indian film industry will make a global mark.”

WAVES 2025 kicked off on Thursday in Mumbai. It is the inaugural World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit hosted by the Government of India. The event will go on for four days, from May 1-4, and will host sessions with celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Hema Malini, Mohanlal, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiranjeevi, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, among others. It is being held at Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC) in Bandra, Mumbai.
